  Some components need to be replaced to make a bike safe and some to make the child safe. Lights and helmets are required for all riders.

  Most bikes can be rejuvenated for around $70

  Cables, housings, bearings, headsets, bottom brackets, wheels, derailleurs, sprockets, handlebars, stems, pedals, seat posts, shifters, clamps & binders are also required on some bikes to make them safe and functional.
